The company "Hercules" was founded in 1886 by Carl Marschütz as Velozipedfabrik Carl Marschütz & Co. and produced bicycles in the early years until 1928. It was not until 1928 that the production of motorcycles with an engine capacity of less than 200 cm³ became profitable again. All engines of the Hercules two-wheelers were made by Fichtel & Sachs.
With this set the inspection of your Sachs 505 2-speed engine is no problem. It contains all the spare parts that should be replaced regularly to prevent major repairs or, in the worst case, damage to the engine. Firstly, the gasoline or air supply is completely renewed. The kit includes a carburetor repair kit, a new fuel filter, a one meter fuel hose and a new air filter. On the other hand, the spark plug and spark plug cap can be replaced. Furthermore, this inspection kit includes a new clutch cover gasket, a new oil check screw and the right transmission fluid for your engine. The included brake cleaner is used to clean the outside of the engine.
