With decades of experience in the field of engine development, the Bavarian company Zündapp achieved a breakthrough in the field of mopeds in Germany and internationally in the mid-1960s. The task of the float is to ensure a constant fuel level in the carburetor. It consists of a plastic housing and is mounted in the middle of the float chamber with the help of a metal hinge. When the fuel reaches a certain level, the float needle is pushed from the float into the feed valve and closes it. This means that no more fuel can run into the carburetor.
