The current version of the NARAKU counter-pressure spring Sport V.2 NK900.67 uses a modified alloy of the spring steel and has a special marking of the spring type. Sets of 3 or 2 springs and single springs are available.
A change is necessary as soon as the performance is increased by a tuning measure. This can be noticed by slipping V-belts or engines that do not rev. The counter-pressure spring is always closely linked to the variator. If a different spring is fitted, this has an influence on the shifting behavior of the variator. In contrast to other manufacturers, the NARAKU springs indicate the speed shift at which the variator shifts if the rollers in the vario are not changed. This allows a much more precise selection of the correct spring than with a percentage specification. A 1000 rpm spring therefore causes the vario to change its ratio approx. 1000 rpm later.
