Hercules is probably one of the best-known bicycle and motorcycle brands in Germany. Founded by Carl Marschütz in 1886, the company is an integral part of the Nuremberg motorcycle industry. Due to the close cooperation with Fichtel & Sachs, the F & S engines were installed in the light motorcycles up to 200 cm³ from Hercules from 1928.
